Celebrating the Mom we honor and cherishAll mothers gave us the gift of life, some with bows and wrapping paper. Some skipped the packaging and cards, flowers and kisses. But all presented us with the gift to be here and make of this life what we will.
Is the definition of a Mother just "a woman who conceives, gives birth to, or raises and nurtures a child" way too vague, or is it just me?
Your Mom is the heart and center of who you are and who you grow to be. Whether you call her Mom, Mommy, Momma or by her first name - this woman is the reason you are here to read this blog!
From the first precious time she held you in her arms, came to you in the night when you cried, hung your pictures on the refrigerator until this very moment - the bond, the relationship and the power of family lives on within you.
As you grow older and wiser, hopefully, you realize that it's okay to be different than your parents. Just as when you were little and looked into your Mother's eyes for approval, pride and recognition - you still do as a young adult and middle aged adult! For some people it's always there. They can do no wrong! For others sadly, there was no nurturing Mom. All of this is a part of who you are as a person and whether it's laughter and smiles or disappointment and tears - it's up to you to take all of this emotion and become who you want to be in life.
